MY MISSION STATEMENT
My calling in life is if the Lord asks of me, I will go.
Although I was brought up in a christian home, eight months ago I decided to purse God fully, and I acknowledged my desperate need for His presence in my life. I have spent a lot of time praying for His will to be done in my life, and it soon became clear to me to be obedient of what He asks of me. Sometimes it is necessary to step out of your comfort zone, or go against social norms in order to make even the slightest of a difference.
WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT TO ME
Passion for life and Identity in Christ!
This opportunity is extremely important to me because something I have struggled with my whole life is identity and self worth. I believe that this experience will help me find my identity in Christ and enhance my view on christianity. Also, within the past two years I feel as though I have been "running on fumes" and I have lost a passion for life. I am expectant that this experience will spark a revival in my life!
WORKING
WORK! WORK! WORK!
For the past four years, I have been working full time at a retirement home in addition to be a full time student. Although I am grateful for my work ethic and time management skills, it has definitely not been easy! That being said, I wanted to make it clear that I am continuing to work full time and save to contribute to this trip. Finances have always been a struggle for my family and I, but I have confidence in the Lord that He will provide. I am truly grateful for any donation: Everything helps!
